At Open Abayas, we are delighted to offer convenient and cost-effective shipping options for our valued customers. Please review the following information to ensure a smooth shopping experience.

Shipping Policy:

– Once the order is shipped, the courier is responsible for delivering the item to you and we cannot control their delivery time. It becomes the responsibility of the courier and Open Abayas cannot be held accountable for any delays.
– Please note the same applies to customs delays with international deliveries – we cannot control your country’s customs and how long they take to release your item.
– The courier will only deliver to the address specified and should not leave the item with a neighbour. If no one is at home to accept the item the courier should leave a card advising that an attempted delivery was made and provide details for re-arranging delivery for another day.

– Once the item has been shipped you will receive an email with the tracking number and the courier used.

– It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure the correct address is entered on the order. Open Abayas will take no responsibility if an incorrect address has been entered and the buyer does not receive the item. We will not take responsibility for any incorrect address details provided or for the parcels not being claimed by the buyer.

– You will be responsible for paying shipping costs for all returned items. You can choose whichever postal service you wish, so you might want to find out how much it would be, in case you want to return, before placing an order with us.

– The goods are your responsibility until they reach our warehouse, so please make sure they are packed appropriately so that it will not get damaged in transit.
We also suggest that our customers use a tracked service to be eligible for compensation in case the courier loses the parcel. We cannot be held responsible for any lost parcels.

UK Shipping:

  • Free standard UK shipping on orders of £100 and over, within 2 to 5 working days for in-stock products and 3 to 5 weeks for products that need to be made in specific countries.
  • 1st Class delivery (Usually Delivered Within 2-3 Days) :£3.99.

EU Shipping:

  • Standard EU shipping available from £15.00 to £24.90 (depends on order weight), within 8-12 working days for in-stock products and 4 to 6 weeks for products that need to be made in specific countries.

Worldwide Shipping:

  • Worldwide shipping available from £15 to £44.90 (depends on order weight and country), within 10 to 15 working days for in-stock products and 4 to 6 weeks for products that need to be made in specified country.

Carriers: We utilize reliable carriers such as Royal Mail, UPS, Evri, and Parcel Force for our deliveries to ensure your orders are handled with care.

International Shipping:

  • Familiarize yourself with your country’s shipping rules and regulations to avoid any issues with restricted items.
  • Refusing a shipment will not result in refunds, and we are not responsible for packages held in customs or any customs duties owed.

Customs Duties and Identification Information:

  • Ensure compliance with local Customs authority requirements for your order.
  • Familiarize yourself with specific identification information required by certain countries before placing an order.
  • Open abayas will not be held responsible for any custom charges your home country may impose. Please include a valid and correct phone number in case customs need to contact you. Please note: any taxes/fees/charges incurred at customs in your country will not be paid by Open Abayas.
  • It is the customer’s duty to pay these and when items are returned because taxes are not paid, we will only refund the item value, not any delivery fees.

  • Due to the new Brexit rules, shipments to Europe may incur customs fees. It is the customer’s responsibility to clear these and not Open Abayas. If a parcel is returned back to us due to unpaid fees, and if there are freight or outstanding charges due to the return shipment, Open Abayas will deduct this before issuing an item value refund. Open Abayas will only refund the item value with no shipping fees (minus any extra charges).
    Lost/Delayed Parcels:

  • Open Abayas cannot take responsibility for delays that occur with DPD/Royal Mail/UPS or other courier services. Additionally, Open Abayas cannot be held responsible for any lost parcels, because once the parcel has been dispatched by us, it is then the courier service’s responsibility to deliver it. If your parcel does not reach you, you will have to submit claim forms with the courier company to start an investigation. You can go directly to the courier’s website to initiate the claim.

How Long Will It Take to Process My Orders?

  • Orders are typically processed and shipped between 9 am and 1 pm Monday through Friday.
  • Please allow up to 48 hours for order processing.
  • Orders placed over the weekend or during holidays will be shipped the following Monday.

Wrong Shipping Address:

  • Contact us immediately with your order number and correct shipping address if you’ve entered the wrong information.
  • If your order has left our facility, we may not be able to intercept the package.

Do I need to pay for return shipping?
Please note all shipping costs are incurred by the buyer. Open Abayas does not provide a shipping label and we will not reimburse the cost of return. The item is also your responsibility until it is delivered to us, we therefore recommend returned items to be sent in a form of signed tracked delivery. We will not accept responsibility for items lost in transit.

I AM AN INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMER; HOW DO I RETURN AN ITEM?
Please email us on info@openabayas.com with your order number and reason for return. You will then receive a reply within 48 hours with further details on how to return the item.
If you are returning item(s) to us from outside of the EU, you must complete a customs declaration, clearly stating that the package contains ‘RETURNED GOODS’. If your parcel is stopped at UK Customs and a charge levied, we will refuse payment and the package will be returned to the sender. Under no circumstances can Open Abayas pay customs duty in order to receive back our items.
